Week 6

It was a little wet out there last week but we still saw some pretty good scoring overall. We are coming up on the final week of our Spring league and the weather is looking like it’s going to good for us Wednesday night!

Week 5 Results:

The UDisc legend Dan Gaines takes first place by shooting -9. We had a three way tie for second place with Alex Catron, Matty Taylor, and Kolby K at -6. The standings are pretty much locked in for the final prizes unless some people have pro like rounds this week. Jonny T has a 10 stroke lead “in the clubhouse” for the first overall prize of $200. It would take pretty close to a perfect round from BDD to beat him.

Week 5 Achievements:

All 8 players were under par or did better than their Week 4 scores!

Dan had a 5 hole birdie streak!

Matty T had his best round of the season shooting 6 under which was 6 strokes better than his second best round!

Kolby stepped out of the car and got an eagle on the first hole!

Prizes:

Prizes have been updated and you can get a complete summary here. I show a breakdown of the entry fees, prizes, and PDGA Registration fees.

Ace Pot:

$174...what a pot! It should build up a little more by Wednesday too. Rember, it’s $3 to enter and you can Venmo or Cashapp me! I can confidently say that the pot will be hit this week! If it’s not hit during the round, the player’s who have entered this week will meet at Hole 3 for a shootoff. We will take turns shooting until someone wins the pot. The throwing order for the shootoff will be determined by Wednesday night scors (low to high). We aren’t going home until someone hits the ace!!

Course Layout this week:

We had a plot twist last week where we thought hole 6 would be unplayable but then the lacrosse game was actually on the other field. I’m thinking since the weather is going to be nice that both lacrosse fields will be occupied. Let’s go with Hole 3 again as the replacement hole for hole 6. That means you play hole 3 twice and enter your second score on hole 3 as your hole 6 score. SOMEBODY HIT AN ACE!

Closing Statement:

I want to thank each and every one of you guys for being part of this Spring League. It was my first time running an official PDGA event and it was a great experience. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as me. I don’t know what the future holds for the summer and fall but I am definitely interested in putting something like this together again. The official PDGA ratings for each round will be finalized by the PDGA once I submit the league report. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have fun on Wednesday and I hope to see you all at the post round shoot out on hole 3 because that sounds like a fun time! Stay in touch!

Thanks,

Kolby
